Portfolio disclaimer
What the independent examples show, and what they do not establish.
1. Design examples and their purpose
The portfolio introduces Tina Marie Collier-Duncan and a freelance practice in publication and document design. The responsible name is Tina Marie Collier-Duncan, identified at 732 Richmond St, Rockwell City, IA 50579, United States. Visitors can examine original page systems and read the reasoning behind them. These examples are not accepted commissions, live editorial services or proof that a publisher has approved the work. A future engagement needs its own requirements and agreement. The explanatory material should be understood as design commentary, rather than specialist advice on every subject a future manuscript might contain.
2. Fictional publications
In the Margins, Fieldwork and Plain Language are independent concept studies created for imagined briefs. Their titles, article fragments and any numerical examples are sample material. They are not real organisational findings, existing client reports or published circulation claims. No testimonial, award, professional qualification or measured reading outcome is established through them. The examples examine typography, navigation and page rhythm. A similar title or subject encountered elsewhere does not mean this portfolio has a relationship with that organisation or publication.
3. Editorial truth and specialist content
Layout organises material but cannot make an unsupported statement true. Source copy, tables, captions, credits and references in a real publication need checking by the responsible participants. A clear table or approachable guide does not certify the underlying data or provide medical, legal, financial or regulatory advice. Agree who edits, fact-checks and approves a commission before public use. Sample values in a conceptual annual review are especially unsuitable as evidence about an actual community, company, study or period.
4. Screen, print and accessibility
A browser rendition demonstrates an arrangement of information, not the complete conditions of a printed or distributed file. Paper, binding, colour management, export settings, device behaviour and accessibility requirements affect final output. Production specifications and appropriate proofs need their own review. The site does not certify compliance with a standard or promise identical rendering in every format. Likewise, displaying a font or image does not automatically provide all licences a publication team may need to edit, distribute or republish a future deliverable.
5. Enquiries and availability
The form helps assemble a first message and offers a link to your email application. It does not transmit a manuscript, accept payment, reserve design time or confirm that correspondence has arrived. Those later actions rely on separate communication and agreement. Website access can be affected by hosting, networks or browsers. If a page presents a problem, identify it without attaching unnecessary private records. The existence of an email route is not a guaranteed reply time or an assurance that every proposed publication can be undertaken.
6. Other notices and actual commissions
This disclaimer is dated 2 November 2026. Privacy explains the information workflow; Terms concerns use of the portfolio; Cancellations and refunds distinguishes enquiries from paid projects. None is a substitute for a specific commission agreement. That agreement and applicable law determine actual responsibilities, with mandatory rights preserved. Direct a question about reproduction, scope or a particular study to [email protected], stating what you intend to use. Viewing the example alone does not grant unrestricted publication rights or silently alter a contract already agreed elsewhere.
